Elsa BIO Bottomer

Originally from France, Elsa started studying music and dance at Conservatoire national de region of Dijon. She then gained a psychology degree and trained in Cunningham technique with Kilina Cremona in Lyon, France. In 2009 she graduated from London Contemporary Dance School with a BA (hons) degree.

After graduation, Elsa started working as an understudy with Lea Anderson and Yolande Yorke Edgell. She then worked with Jessie Brett and won the Dance Bytes competition in Cardiff, Wales.

Elsa danced for Toni Mira, Letizia Mazzeo, Immigrants and Animals and regularly performs with Trumpet Creepers, an improvisation group.

She has worked as a physical theatre performer with Underconstruction Theatre, Theatre Nomad, Bottlefed Ensemble and artist Ei Arakawa for a project at the Tate Modern. Elsa has also been working for films with Jacob Hobbs (Deutsche Bank award winner), video artist Carolina Melis and more recently with Kezia Barnett. Their short film "Rouge Amour" won the Straight 8 competition and was screened at Cannes Festival 2011.

She has since been working as a freelance actress in Berlin with film director Michael Carstens and in London joining Future Cinema company for their production "Casablanca".

Elsa joined the Bee's Knees in 2012 and is very happy to be part of the hive.
